Frequently Asked Questions
Is TimingEquity a get rich quick scheme?
Emphatically not. At TimingEquity we believe that real wealth is generated over time. To this end, we have set a goal to achieve a 70% win to 30% loss trade performance record over rolling five year periods. Please note that no trading system is perfect. Some of our trades will not prove profitable. However, if you have the patience and discipline you too can achieve great TimingEquity investing results that far exceed a buy and hold investment strategy over time!

How many buy and sell signals does TimingEquity generate per year?
On average, TimingEquity generates between 3 to 5 trading signals per year.
What type of trading strategy is best followed to implement TimingEquity's market timing system?
We cover four main trading strategies with TimingEquity market timing.
Are your results independently verified?
Yes. Our results are currently independently monitored and verified by Timer Trac.com.
How do you generate your Buy, Sell and Money Market signals?
All of our signals are issued by a 100% unemotional computer generated process. Our computers analyze market data including Market Momentum, Investor Sentiment, Interest Rates and Market Valuation measures to signal major changes in the direction of the major United States and World Stock Indexes.
What Stock Index do you use to generate your market timing signals?
We generate our Stock Market buy and sell signals from market data gathered from the S&P 500 Index.
Does your Stock Market trading system have stop loss protection?
Yes. We call our stop loss trigger a natural trigger. We call it this because it, like the market itself, moves and flows with the market's action. Due to the relatively high volume of data our computers analyze after the close of each market day, natural stop loss triggers may occur after the end of any market day. Actually there were relatively few instances in the 7 years of live trades and back testing that a trade was unprofitable. And the vast majority of these few losing trades were well contained to 5% as measured by the S&P 500 Index.
What types of investments can I use to implement your market timing?
While there are literally thousands of investment options to choose from, we have listed some of the most popular of these in our Investments section.
I am a new Member. How should I implement your Current Signal into my portfolio?
There are a number of ways a new Member can implement our Current Signal. First, a new Member can simply follow the current signal and commit 100% of their portfolio to the position. Secondly, and more conservatively, a new Member can dollar cost average into the Current Signal. For example, a new Member could invest 25% of their portfolio each week to the current signal so that at the end of three weeks all of their portfolio is in agreement with the Current Signal. Finally, new Members can wait until the next Current Signal change and then commit to it.
I am a TimingEquity Member. How do I get notified of a change in your Current Signal?
We post any change to our Current Signal's section of this website by 9:00 pm Eastern time on the night the new signal is issued. In addition, we e-mail all TimingEquity Members alerting them to any change in our Current Signals by 9:00pm Eastern Time on the day the signal change occurs.
When should I implement a new signal change?
Based on past history, our Current Signal changes are best implemented at the close of trade on the day following the Current Signal change. This is particularly advantageous for those investors who choose mutual funds for their investments. This is because mutual funds offer either mid day or end of day closing prices. We recommend that investors choose the day's last closing price when choosing when to place their mutual fund orders. Furthermore, TimingEquity can be used easily with those investors who chose ETF's as their investment vehicle. Investors can simply place their orders close to the end of trade on the day following a change in our Current Signals. Please note it is each Members responsibility to determine the cut off time for placing a trade in their Mutual Fund(s) in order to receive that day's last closing price.
